Now is the time to act.

With the elections only 20 calendar days away and with 8 Senate seats and 31 House seats basically up for grabs and with the power shift 10 Senate seats and 37 House seats away; these last few weeks become possibly the most important fortnight in this millennium.

With no intent to be partisan, we encourage everyone reading this to go to the website at www.immaag.com and use the CQPolitics interactive map link on the home page. Find out if your state is a “toss-up” or “leans” state (or congressional district); indentify your preferred candidate and get ready to educate him or her, THEN ACT with your vote.

Reach out to every Real Estate Agent and residential finance professional you know and explain to them why returning people who supported Dodd-Frank, who voted against the end of HVCC and who “blame” mortgage professionals for the housing crisis need to be replaced. Explain exactly what the Dodd-Frank bill will do to consumer choice and the housing industry and why those who voted in favor of it without regard to its unintended consequences and probably without reading it in the first place need to be voted out of office.

You may not feel it effects YOU, but LESS CHOICE, and LESS OPTIONS means LESS BUYERS, and less people who qualify.

Then make sure your candidate knows you are there for them and that you want them to promise you, that they will to do everything they can to amend at least the sections of Dodd-Frank in Title XIV (the mortgage reform section) immediately when they arrive in the new Congress.

There are about 480 hours to do something to put positive changes in motion that could re-shape the outcome of a devastating session of Congress. Barring business or personal crises, getting your friends and acquaintances to vote and sharing your opinion with your selected candidate is the most important activity in which you can engage over the next three weeks. Please do so with fervor!
