Here are the photos of the fall colors in Absarokee.  We start from South of town.

This horse was proud to act as the greeter.

From the red barn, we get to see a maple tree full of red leaves with the mountains providing a nice background.Fall colors in Absarokee, Montana

After the bear surprise, some more cheerful and happy faces on main street (Woodward Ave).

Along with HOPE, may there be more PEACE and LOVE!

Some nice baskets of flowers to add some additional colors in town.  A nice bench too!  :)

No photo of the fall colors in Absarokee would be complete without a shot of The Big Yellow House which looked even more yellow with all the yellow foliage around on the trees as well as on the ground.

As we leave town, there was contruction on Highway 78 and a few minutes of stoppage as a result.  While waiting for the traffic to resume, I managed to capture this shot with the zoom feature of my camera.

And one to leave you with as we leave Absarokee and head North.  A Splendid Serene Scenery Screaming for a Snapshot!  :)

These photos are a very nice prelude for the reason why we celebrate Thanksgiving Day. For now, let's all sit back and enjoy the spectaclar world of color presented live and in color by Mother Nature!

Thanks Gerry!

Thanks for the journey, although that beautiful tree in the second picture sure looks a little lonely.

Hi Gerry, Absarokee is "absarokee" beautiful!  I've been enjoying your fall photos and especially like the yellow house.

Hi Gerry - Thanks for the great virtual tour of Absarokee, MT. :)

I take it that you did not see any moose in town.  I also noticed that the maple tree did not have a maple syrup bucket attached to it.  Perhaps they like to use Québec maple syrup, eh?

Russel,

Having grown up in Canada, I am partial to the maple tree and its red color in the fall.   Although this one may seem lonely, there were other smaller maple trees around.  They were were scattered in the yard and each one is protected from the deer.  :)

Oh Marc,

I did see moose but you missed it going through the photos in this post.   Here's is a closer caption of the moose in photo #12 (the one with the baskets of flowers and the purple frame).

Funny you mentioned that there were no buckets under the red maple tree feature in photo #2.  The owners of the red maple tree are good friends of mine and although they do not collect maple syrup, they have tasted the Quebec maple syrup and they loved it!  :)

Hmmm, Gerry - The good ol' hidden moose game.  Upon closer inspection, I do see the moose in photo 12.

Marc,

Some moose like to keep a low profile and some other ones just stick out!  :)sheepberry

Debi,

Thanks.  Great to see you back!  No need to worry about the Grizzly.  I was in my car and it was one of those snap and run drive away shots!   :)
