It appears that all hell has broken loose in the foreclosure market over the past few weeks. Most major lenders have halted the processing of foreclosures and several, including Bank of America, have halted the sale of existing foreclosure. Washington Attorney General Rob McKenna issued two press releases yesterday regarding the foreclosure issues and held a press conference. He explained that the state has been investigating several trustees since this past May and that they are requesting that Washington state trustees immediately suspend questionable foreclosures. Links to both press releases are below. While the overall news may not be seem positive, the reality is that there are currently more foreclosures on the market then in past weeks and that new foreclosure listings seem to be priced lower. This could be intential on the part of the sellers in order to encourage more multiple offer situations. All in all, it's still a great time to buy a foreclosed property in Snohomish County!
