The Great Pumpkin Is Coming! Family Fun for Halloween

Pumpkin Festival at Buckelew Farm along with Halloween Nights - Terror in the Corn - and Corn Maze

Take Highway 86 South East from Tucson for 22 miles and you'll see the signs for Buckelew Farm.
Children 2 and under are free, everyone else gets in for $4 which includes a tractor-drawn ride to the pumpkin patch and festival.
 
The Pumpkin Festival opens at 10:00 a.m. Pumpkins sell for 45 cents a pound, and there are plenty of other items to catch your eye.  Gourds, arts and crafts, festival games -  even a petting zoo and pedal cart race track!  Food items are also available, including hamburgers, corn on the cob, fry bread and of course - pumpkin pie!

The event is open for the remainder of October 2010 on weekends:  10/16 & 10/17, 10/23 & 10/24, 10/30 & Halloween 10/31.  Times: 10:00am to 5:00pm

The Corn Maze

For additional fun, an entirely new 11-acre corn maze to entice those that love a challenge.  Four miles of trails wind throug the corn, forming two mazes, each taking about an hour to complete. The extra brave can explore the trails by flashlight on Friday and Saturday nights the last 4 weekends of October, and Halloween Night from 5:00pm to 12:00 midnight.
Price: Adults - $8.00  Children 6 to 12 yrs - $6.00  Children 5 yrs & under (must be accompanied by an adult) - free  Groups of 10 or more - $1.00 off admission price

Military Appreciation Weekend- on Saturday 10/16 & Sunday 10/17 only, show military photo I.D. and get your pumpkins at 35 cents per pound.

The Great Pumpkin Race
Sunday, October 24, 8 a.m.
Cross country 5K race!  The race winds through the Buckelew Farm and includes portions of the corn maze!  Participants receive free entry into the farm, and prizes will be available.  Also adding to the event will be pumpkin carving and kid's face painting. The Great Pumpkin race benefits the Hydrocephalus Foundation and Tedy’s Team - Raising Awareness and Fighting Stroke.

College Nights Out
Thursdays 10/21 & 10/28 for College Nights Out (show college I.D. and receive $5.00 off admission price also $2 beers from our Beer Garden)

Terror In The Corn
The haunted cornfield is a place for the Halloween lovers on Halloween Night! You've likely been to a haunted house ... but can you imagine the frightening possibilities of a haunted cornfield? Terror In The Corn will not disappoint!  Live actors, plenty of scares - all of it add up to plenty of Halloween horror! Terror In The Corn isn't for everyone! Children, 12 years and under, will not be admitted without an adult and parental discretion is strongly advised.

Cara, that sounds like such a great adventure.  Personally, I don't think I'd do the night time thing, I like to sleep at night, and that sounds scary enough to keep me awake for days, LOL.
