A day like this is why I love living in East Tennessee. The sun is shining, the trees are changing colors, and you can smell Fall in the air. With the temperature getting to the low 70s it makes it a great day to spend outdoors. Another benefit to living in this area during the fall is all of the events that are planned around the season. From reaping the benefits of all the local produce grown in the area at the local Farmer’s Market to exploring one of the local Corn Mazes on a cool evening this area has it all.
And don’t forget the local sports. From the exuberance of University of Tennessee Football to the excitement of local High School football, from the experience of playing golf at one of the many great golf courses to fly fishing in the Smokies and everything in between this area has it all. With the Smoky Mountains, and a segment of the Appalachian Trail running through it, to the Big South Fork Wilderness Area the hiking and backpacking opportunities are endless. With the cooler weather at nights it makes a perfect ending to a day of hiking spending time around a warm campfire with friends and family.
