Get A Horse! -- 2010 Jeans and Jewels Gala -- Auction For Painted Horses to benefit the Northwest Assistance Ministries. Some of these lovely horses will be auctioned off at the Jeans and Jewels Gala.
Some of the horses were commissioned works of art paid for by private parties or corporations, but the remaining horses will be auctioned off to benefit the Northwest Assistance Ministries.
I was lucky enough to be able to witness one of the local artists painting a horse while I was at the NAMpede stable in Vintage Park (near FM 249 and Louetta).
What lovely creations the artists are providing, and they are very talented. It would be neat to see these on street corners like they do in some of the cities in parts of the Northern United States, such as the painted buffalo in West Yellowstone.
