proposition b

Calling all Missouri residents!  The dogs need your vote!

Missouri is currently known as the "puppy mill" state.  They have over 3000 puppy mills and this need to end!  It's time to stand up and stop this dark and ugly industry.

A new law is going to be voted on November 2nd, to make the conditions in commercial breeding facilities more humane.

Believe it or not, there are many commercial breeders who oppose this new law.  Seems kind of silly, don't you think?  Who wants to see our companion animals suffer?  The kind of people who only think of the MONEY to be made, that's who!  They have all kinds of "good old boys" who think there is absolutely nothing wrong with treating dogs like they are livestock.  In fact, they think it's God's will to have "complete control" over them and God put animals on earth so we can do whatever we want to them.  Seriously, check out their facebook page, Vote No To Proposition B.  You'll be amazed at their way of thinking.

Then go to Vote YES To Proposition B facebook page and see the truth.

Click on the link below and vote YES!  Even if you don't live in Missouri there are other ways you can help.  Feel free to re-blog!

Puppy mills are a huge problem and as a shelter volenteer, I've seen the consequences. Sometimes I ask myself do people in this group care about dogs or is it about something else....

Great post as we need to shut down these puppy mills ASAP!

I have adopted one of these sweet little dogs that was hoarded by a breeder.  She has damage to her spine and cannot walk with her back legs, and every day my heart breaks a little for her.  How can people be so cruel.  I hope more can be done to stop this behavior.

Good for you Sandra for rescuing the poor girl!  Half my heart is with the dogs in the puppy mills.   We are working hard everyday to change the laws and this horrible industry.  Nobody knows....please spread the word!

Ida, I was very happy to learn that proposition B passed. Puppy mills are like concentration camps for dogs. Many people don't realize when they buy a cute puppy from a pet store that the pup's mother could be living in miserable conditions. A lot of education needs to be done on this issue.

So right Rich!  Nobody knows where the parents of the dogs come from because the pet stores lie to the consumers.  Unfortunately the puppy millers are fighting the bill and are trying to make changes.  Let's just hope they don't win!
