Fernie time.....Lack of Professionalism

By
Real Estate Agent with Century 21 Maximum Realty Ltd.

Fernie time as it is colorfully referred to in the valley is a polite euphemamism for being late. Lack of promptness or lateness has always been a ``problem`` in these parts. Written clearly on all of our real estate contracts are these five simple words " time is of the essence".

If you are representing a client you will require the following attributes in no particular order:

1. The ability to read time, digital, analog or sun dial.

2. The ability to read and understand a calendar.

3. The ability to want to earn an income.

4. The professionalism to work with other professionals whose time is as valuable or more than yours.

5. Time management skills.

This business demands that we work hard to ensure that we are best representing our clients at all times. This has required me to answer my phone late at night, on holidays (3 weeks in Iceland), and at times most inconvenient to me.

Please feel free to post your responses.

Are realtors in your area being unprofessional and not responding to offers.   That must be frustrating!  Hang in there sooner or later someone will want a paycheck.
