We try to instill traditional events within our family so that when our kids are grown up (some more) they can look back and remember the fun days. In October we do Pumpkin Carving. My kids are now entering adulthood and it is great that they now invite their friends to come over and carve pumpkins.
Tonight was that night...in the years past the same friends of this group really didn't want to do this because I guess they thought it was too childish. But now they relish to come over and do it. Below are some of the art work of the night.
This is the Headless horseman...it may be hard to see without the candle inserted...but see the pumpkin head with the flames coming out of it on the top left of the pumpkin...Cheeto (Labon) did this one.
This next one is Cross Bones and Skull done my daughter Heather.
The one above was done by Bubba (David) my daughters boyfriend...
The Smirky Pumkin was done by Blaire and she really liked it ... ME TOO!
Below the Traditional Pumpkin carved by Lynda and is always a winner in my book. Oldie but Goodie!
Shown below is The Vampire Cat done by Ivan I thought was pretty good.
They want me to judge who did the best carving...but I am getting out of that one and let you guys judge who did the best! Can I get a First, Second, and Third Place winners please?
Now if I can only get them to leave all these pumkins at my home to show case it! What better way to stage a yard?
Coming to you from Texas,,,
