Paramus Run, This Sunday, 10/17/10 in Paramus, NJ

Since 1979, runners & walkers have been coming to Paramus, NJ on the third Sunday in October to enjoy  beautiful fall weather, participate in one of the most runner focused events of the year, and help young people succeed through the Paramus Scholarship Fund

All events take place at the Crowne Plaza at Paramus Park.

7:30 - Check-in/Registration Begins

9:05 - Park Ave BMW/Park Ave Acura 10K Run
(New Balance - NJ Grand Prix Event, 500 Points)

10:30 - Awards for the 10K Run

11:00 - Annual Post-Race Party Begins!

11:15 - Lou Lanzalotto Memorial 5K Run
(New Balance - NJ Grand Prix Event, 500 points)

11:15 - 5K Health Walk

12:15 - One Mile Fun Run for Kids (age 13 and Under)

12:30 - Awards Ceremony for the 5K Run

12:30 - Raffle Drawings (you must be present to win!)

ABOUT THE RACE This annual event is sponsored by the people of Paramus, in conjunction with the Board of Recreation Commissioners, Board of Education, Paramus Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Paramus Shade Tree & Parks Commission, and Paramus Police Dept., and benefits the young people of Paramus through the Paramus Scholarship Fund. SANCTIONED AND CERTIFIED by USA Track & Field COURSE DESCRIPTION Both the 5K and 10K courses pass through scenic, tree-lined residential neighborhoods. The start and finish lines for both races are at Paramus Park Shooping Center. Water stations, excellent traffic control, and first-aid coverage throughout the course. AWARDS AND AGE GROUPS Awards will go to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place male and female finishers in each age category: 13 and under, 14-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64. 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 and over. Awards will also go to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, male and female Paramus residents
