Autumn in Battle Creek, Michigan is perhaps the most beautiful and spectacular time of the year with the many changes in colors. The many variety hues of gold, red and yellow sparkle from horizon to horizon with splendor for all to enjoy. Reminders that winter is around the corner is always there.
However, when autumn in Battle Creek, Michigan, one cannot help but admire the sheer elegance and beauty of Mother Nature, as she paints the landscape with rainbows of color. Robert Frost once wrote:
"Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay."
Each time autumn in Battle Creek arrives; I remember that poem and think about its meaning and the cycle of the seasons. In the spring, we will yet again see to the gold, and then the flower, and at this time of the year in autumn in Battle Creek, we all know that nothing gold can stay.
As a Realtor in Battle Creek, Michigan I find myself traveling around the many country roads, and neighborhoods, and being a sort of amateur photographer, I cannot help but stop to snap a few photos.
Even when I am in a hurry, I will find myself pulling off the road when I see something picturesque about a scene that says to me ‘autumn in Battle Creek' and despite my urgency, I grab my camera.
Being a Realtor gives me the freedom sometimes to plan my routes of travel, and sometimes I admit I plan it so as to see the best of the colors while they last.
I love this time of year, as the beauty of nature changes day to day, and each day seems to become more spectacular.
Of course I know it will end, and as Mr. Frost reminded us all, nothing gold can stay. However, I will do what I can to capture it with my digital camera...
