The Fall Colors in Montana - Part 9 of 10: Billings, Montana

Here are the photos of the fall colors in Billings.

Please note that the photos only cover a small section of Billings.  Billings is not the capital of Montana but it is the most populous city of Montana with close to (but still less than) 100,000 persons.  Yes, that is still peanuts compared to the most populous cities of the other 49 States other than Wyoming's!   Even Alaska has a more populous city with Anchorage (over 200,000 persons).  For interesting info about Alaska, check out the following post from Russel Ray's Halls of History series: Halls of History - Imagine having one square mile all to yourself!

We start this photo excursion at the United States Armed Forces Reserve Center. 

And then get to check out some interesting tracks.    :)

Then we head to the sreets of Billings for the next few photos.

The following two cars turned my head (not just the fall colors).

A touch of red with the sunset light behing the tree leaves.   

Most of the streets and sidewalks in this neighborhood, were covered with yellow leaves.

Once again, I have to hurry taking photos (to get some good ones before dark).  Here are the other fall 2010 highlights on this trip to Billings.

These flowers were irrestible not to include in a photo.  Nice colors to add to the fall colors in the background.  :)

So I was driving in Billings and in a hurry to capture some fall colors.  While time was against me, the sunset light does provide for some interesting photos (as you may have noticed in my previous post: The Mesmerizing Colors of the Sky at Night in Columbus, Montana!).

And yes, as I have been doing this series of posts on the fall colors of Montana, I ran into many political signs (don't forget to vote on November 2, that is only 2 weeks from the date of this post) and Halloween decorations which I tried to avoid to include in the photos. 

Here is the only exception (after all Halloween and the fall colors go together in cities and towns in October) and one to leave you with: the Halloween decorations I liked the most in Billings.  Very festive and with lots of pumpkin people!   :)
