"Four Corners of Law" the intersection of Meeting and Broad St, in Charleston, SC, has been named because of each corner represents a different branch of the law: City-Charleston City Hall, County-Charleston County Courthouse, Federal-United States Post Office and God's law- St. Michales Episcopal Church. - Charleston City Hall - built in 1801 as a bank, purchased by City of Charleston 1818
- Charleston County Courthouse - first built 1752, present building built 1792
- US Post Office - built in 1898
- St. Michael's Episcopal Church - constructed in 1752-61, is the oldest church building in Charleston.
