Rubbermade Avalanche...
Yesterday, my husband dragged out the slow cooker and put together a huge pot of Chili...just one more reason why I love the Fall & the cooler weather! After dinner, I went to the kitchen to put away the leftovers. I opened the cabinet door to the rubbermade and...an avalanche of mismatched pieces came tumbling down onto my feet!
First of all...I thought, Why would anyone have this much rubbermade? I mean, Seriously!? Second of all...How can someone as organized as I am, have this type of mess in one of their cabinets? I can't blame my husband, because I am just as bad as he is about tossing the pieces in the cabinet and closing the door as fast as possible. I sat on the floor, swooped every last container and lid out onto the floor, and got busy. If I couldn't find the lid to a piece, the piece went into the recycling bin. If I couldn't find the piece to the lid...It too went into the recycling bin. I found a few things I didn't even know I had! I organized and stacked until I was somewhat pleased with my finished project. How long will it stay neat and organized? Probably not very long! Now, for the Closets...
If you are planning to place your home on the market, you will want it to show as best as it possibly can. That means that you will need to clean & organize cabinets, drawers, closets, built in shelving, etc. Potential buyers will look in these places...Trust me! If they open a cabinet and are buried under an avalanche of rubbermade or shoe boxes from the closet, or worse...They may get the impression that there is not enough storage in the home. We certainly don't want that to happen!
