The Raupp Museum benefits the Buffalo Grove community by educating those who visit on the history of the area.  Overseen by the Park District, the museum is an award-winning member of the Illinois Association of Museums.  The three acre parcel that houses the museum was bequeathed to the Village of , along with the building, on the condition that it become either a museum or a library.  The museum was officially dedicated on September 16, 1979.

Today the museum's collection contains approximately 3,000 historical artifacts, and those living in Buffalo Grove Illinois can learn more about the area from visiting the Raupp Museum.  The museum is involved in programs for local schools and organizations as well.Those who own Buffalo Grove Real Estate have access to a number of facilities run by the Park District.  Whether wanting to gain physical strength or mental acuity, there is something for everyone living in Illinois.
