Looking for a great place to invest some money? According to the Wall Street Journal, if you live in the Greater Knoxville area, you might be living only a few blocks from it. Knoxville has the fourth best market for Real Estate Investors. The research was conducted by Local Market Monitor Inc. a national Real Estate tracking company.
What Local Market Monitor Inc. looked for was a low probability that home prices would fall further and areas where income was growing and employment was stable. Other areas with good markets for Real Estate investments were: Durham, NC, Huntsville, AL, and Indianapolis.
If you live here in Knoxville it doesn’t feel like we are a top 5 area for Real Estate but if you compare it to the worst areas it is easy to see why. We didn’t have the big housing bubble like a lot of areas did. While we do have some foreclosures we are way below the National Average. Here in East Tennessee our economy is diverse , we don’t depend on just one industry for employment. We don’t see just how bad it is in other places in the country.
