According to depositions released today by the Florida Attorney General's Office a manager at the Law Offices of David J. Stern signed up to 1,000 documents a day without reading them and employees were given gifts to speed up foreclosure paperwork.

In one of the depositions according to Kelly Scott, a former assistant at the firm, law offices of David J. Stern office would routinely pay Cheryl Salmon's personal mortgage, a car payment, her electric bills and her cell phone bill. Cheryl Salmon was the Office Manager for the Foreclosure Department.
According to Scott, Stern also bought Salmons a new BMW sport utility vehicle every year and gave her and other employees jewelry. Additionally, Stern purchased employee David Vargas a house, a car and a cell phone.
Despise this ongoing investigation as of Monday October 18, 2010 Bank of America said that it plans to resume seizing more than 100,000 homes in 23 states next week. It said it has a legal right to foreclose despite accusations that documents used in the process were flawed.

Unfortunately there is very little accountability while big banks' power and control continue to grow and continue to have a stifling effect on families especially on children in these families.
