September Real Estate statistics for Arlington, Va

By
Real Estate Agent with Century 21 New Millennium

The news for Arlington, Va real estate was good and bad depending on how you look at it.

Unit sales were down but prices are up.

174 units sold which is down 21.27% from last year and 19.82% from the previous month

Median price was $460,750 which is up 9.96% from last year and 7.15% from August

Average price was up 6.01% from a year ago at $507,999. This was down 2.96% from August.

Days on market was the same as a year ago at 62 days.

It was not unexpected that there would be some fall off in units sold after so many folks pushed their home purchase into the early spring to secure their $8000 first time buyer credit.

I am seeing a relatively stable market and do not anticipate a great fluctuation up or down over the coming months.
