We live really close to the gulf and like to ride out there late in the afternoon to watch the sun set... my husband is not a romantic.... I just think he misses living in Florida on the beach...
When we go out there we usually get a soda or ice cream at the PURPLE COW which is a converted beach house to restaurant. The owner lives above the place.
Since I have not eaten here I can not honestly comment on the food. But I do love the sign.
Prior to hurricane IKE Surfside was full of very old beach houses. I think the residences may have made out like insurance bandits because almost all the homes on the beach have been replace with beautiful new beach houses. Not that it is a bad thing that is what insurance is for and why we pay for it and pay for it dearly.
So on to the sun sets....
