are we not peacock?

By
Real Estate Agent with Jameson Sotheby's International Realty

As with most occupations, those associated with the real estate industries rely strongly on detail-oriented people.

We need to pay attention to the smallest detail, as it could be something small, and hardly noticable that causes the deal to fall apart.

Or it could be the care of that same item, that holds the deal together.  (isn't that saying the same thing, just backwards?)

Don't make assumptions, just because it looks like a Peacock, doesn't mean it IS a peacock.

Or is it?

That is true of most birds.  The males are always the prettiest!  But you are right that we are expected to take care of all of the little details, so when something goes wrong, the finger goes straight to us!  Love the photo.

Coming from an accounting background, I am one of those detail people.  Sure helps me in this career.

We had a peacock that used to roam my parents' neighborhood.  An escapee from the Birmingham Zoo which we lived right next to.....we named him Henry.

The females are peahens, I think, and not nearly as catchy a word as peacock.

Home is where the hearth is.

Karen - glad you like the photo... is it really a peacock?

Ann - Henry?

Robert - not exactly.

Margaret - yes, they are peahens, as I've noted at the end, in small type.

Alan- I actually have a peacock who shows up at my door every evening.  They love staring at themselves in a mirror or shiny black SUV.  The peahens that come by on occasion aren't as colorful and much more aggressive.  Does that remind you of any other species?

My Grandfather used to raise peacocks when I was a child and I think he still has about 10 or so.

Kathy - because I like sleeping indoors, I'm going to say "i have no idea what you're talking about".

JL - but there are NO peacocks on this post.

Alan- you are so clever.  I, like Margaret, nearly fell into the trap you set about peahens.  I guess that was the point- the tiny little detail that can make or break the deal.

Home is where the hearth is.

Jennifer - there's another tiny little detail, that everyone seems to be overlooking... look closely at the photo... it is NOT a peacock!

Enjoyable post. Gives us males lots to aim for. Color and flourish are certainly necessary.

I, like Wendy, saw it, but that's because I am visual...very visual...though I missed the "peahen" at the bottom, until you pointed it out.  Even if there is no peahen, or peacock in the post, I love the visual...for a very obvious reason! =o)

Scott - it is, indeed.

Cheryl - I would have expected no less from a design person.

Not a real person
San Diego, CA

It’s fun to wander around the San Diego Zoo and listen to the people wondering why certain peacocks have no beautiful tail feathers. Occasionally you’ll hear someone answer, “That’s a female peacock.”

Home is where the hearth is.

Russel - probably due to the fact that people rarely use the term peahen... I mean it even sounds a bit odd, due to it's non-use.
