Why should you buy a home now? Buyers enjoy a large selection of homes available and having sellers compete for their business. Obviously I have no knowledge of your personal financial situation. The economy has been going down hill for the country and most individuals for two years now so in general, money's tight! The President released a statement a couple of weeks ago that the recession ended a year ago. Has your economic situation improved significantly in this past year? I dare say that most would say NO. Whether you have increased your income or not, the basic necessities of life are food, clothing and shelter; therefore, if you could take advantage of a market that is bulging with a surplus of homes listed for sale and sellers that are willing to negotiate to get you to choose their house to buy, wouldn't it be to your advantage to look at what you can get for your money right now? Interest rates are still at record lows, houses that sold for (example) $200,000 in 2007 are now a struggle to unload for $175,000.
I happen to live and work in the Great state of Texas (GO RANGERS) our home prices did not sky rocket as some other parts of the country did. We still have several stable, good paying jobs in our cities. For instance, in the past I've worked for L-3 Communications in Waco Tx. this is just one of Central Texas' leading and still growing companies. People are secure with their jobs and with job security can be confident when purchasing their home.
This is the absolute right time for home buyers to get into the housing market! Those that need housing but procrastinate will be cussing themselves later for passing up that great house and the low interest rates. Don't let that be you.
