Yesterday, a very good friend and fellow Keller Williams agent sent me a video he recently did regarding being passionate in what you do. He geared it more towards Real Estate agents and what makes one stand out from the rest; that the agents who truly love what they do, the ones who exude passion, are the ones who stand out and, typically, make better agents. I 100% agree with this statement but want to take it to the next level. I dont' believe this is only true in Real Estate but can be appropriate for everyone in everything.
Are you passionate about what you do? Does your job title make it easy to get up in the morning?? I can honestly say that I am and it does! I have a passion for Real Estate and as passion is the highest level of energy, I enthusiastically go to work every day looking forward to working with my customers. Nothing makes me happier to see the smile on their faces when I get to hand over the keys to the home they've been dreaming about for months, if not years, and knowing I was able to assist in making that dream a reality. I may work 10, 11, 14 hour days but it never feels like work because I love what I do! Do you go to work every day with this passion? If not, maybe it's time to find something you truly love and can easily get up in the morning for.
Howard Thurman said, "Don't ask yourself what the world needs; ask yourself what makes you come alive. And then go and do that. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive." To be the best person you can possibly be and do the very best job you can possibly do, you have to have passion. You will find yourself smiling more, feel a peace, a joy within and you will be sincerely happy and alive! Where would this world be if we were all driven by passion?
