Exciting News For The Unemployed In The State Of Alabama

News, Logan Martin Lake Sales

Anyone reading the Pell City newspaper this morning read an exciting article on page three. In my opinion, this is the BEST NEWS the paper has printed in a year. I cannot understand why this was not on page one. With so many people unemployed in Alabama, this is the story everyone has been waiting to hear. The State of Alabama is Number 1 in the nation, in the drop, in unemployment. Information gathered by The Bureau of Labor Statistics from August 2009 to August 2010 shows that the Alabama unemployment rate has declined by 1.4 percent.

This is a step in the right direction, and it gives HOPE to all of the unemployed people in Alabama.

Diane, thanks for sharing the news with the rest of the country and the neighbours.  I truly hope that, given the conflicting news we're seeing in the papers and media, that this sets a positive precedent for what's to come.  Fingers cross, cheers.  Jark.

Jark, I am so tired of hearing so much bad news in the media. This was great news and it was on page 3 of our newspaper.. It is wonderful to see the numbers are finally going down in the unemployment in Alabama.  Hopefully it will continue here and across the country.  I will keep my fingers crossed!

Diane, very good news...I hadn't heard this yet, but will try to do a bit more research to find out more.   And yes the auto industry has a lot to do with it.

Diane - I wish I saw good news for the unemployed and those on the verge of becoming homeless here in Florida!

I know that Florida got hit hard.  If I am remembering correctly there are still 190,000 in AL unemployed.  As you know they do not count the independent contractors.  Lets hope and pray we have hit bottom and things are starting to turn around.
