Who was the top seller, Day 1, at Ocala Breeders’ Sales Fall Mixed Sale? The top seller in the Consignor Preferred session of the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Company’s 2010 Fall Mixed Sale was a 5-year-old Storm Cat mare (Hip No. 147), Zehoorr, in foal to Tiznow, purchased by Rustlewood Farm, Inc. (Reddick, FL) for $250,000 from the Reddick-based Westbury Stables. Average sale numbers were up 42% compared with 2009, in part due to the dispersal of the entire stock of Westbury Stables. Susie what a beautiful day to go horse shopping! Those animals are absolutely gorgeous.  Love how they peek their heads out of the stalls.

Now listening to that guy doing the auctions really makes me smile - I can't even imagine being able to do that.  Fun to hear him breathe!  Thanks for sharing...

Imagine going shopping for a horse?! Takes me back to my equestrian days YEARS ago. Seems that the race horse prices were much higher than for show horses. I remember my cousin spending $125,000 for a show pony for her daughter who was about 10 at the time. I was in shock, and that's low for show and 3-day event horses.

Sounds like an awesome event to be at - what does the term Storm Cat mean? Not familiar with that one..

Susie ~ I really enjoyed the show.  Thanks for doing this for people like me that do not have a chance to go to events like this.  Awesome Job!  Beautiful Horses!
