Those are really great photos. Looks like a great place to take a nice walk.
Debbie, was to late in the day to stay long.
Matt, it is beautiful in the forest this time of the year.
I would LOVE to hike your beautiful trails at Talledaga National Forest! The National Parks are on my list of things to do with the new (used) travel trailer! :O)
Hi Diane - Great shots of a great place to hike! I especially love the archway!
Joni-come and visit and I will walk the trails with you!
Chris- it is a neat entryway onto the path. I was impressed.
Hi Diane, Beautiful photos of the trail. Your color seems to be changing slower than up north.
Our area has been in a drought for a long period of time. It is still in the 80's during the day. The leaves are drying up and falling off the trees with little or no color this year.
Diane - I had hoped to get out of the house and see what was available in autumn sights this weekend. Unfortunately, we have rainy weather today and tomorrow. So, I'm finally going to hunker down with a couple of books I've neglected reading! You'r photos of the hiking trail are neat!
Hello Myrl, You could get lost and roam around for days in Talladega National Forest. If you do nothing more than ride around it gives you a sense of freedom to help clear the mind. The areas that you can camp at are beautiful...
I am glad someone is getting rain. Enjoy your book and thanks I am glad you enjoyed them.
Hey Dee, It was inviting to walk along on a beautiful day. The wildlife here is about what it is everywhere else. Deer, turkey that sort of thing. What terrifies me are the snakes.
Hi Diane!
I should make this hiking trail on the list of places to go and see...
Great shots.
Hello Josh,
If you enjoy the outdoors, you will not be disappointed. The Talladega National Forest is beautiful.
Diane - thanks for sharing these wonderful photos - this reminds me of hiking when I lived in Europe!
Diane,
Great shots. Looks like a beautiful trail. Had no idea it was so long. :)
Steve
Thanks for stopping by Steve. I had no idea they were that long either, that is why I took a picture of the sign. Wonder how long it would take to hike and how many people have done it?
Barbara-Jo Hiking in Europe must have left you with some wonderful memories...
Karen, in the parking area were four cars. On a trail that is 130 miles long, you couldn't help but wonder how long they had been there?
Diane,
I especially love your last picture...just makes we want to walk that trail too!
Hello Lori- It would be nice to spend a couple of days exploring the trail. Not sure 130 miles would be on my list of things to do! LOL
Hi Diane! Great post - and FANTASTIC photos! 130 miles, huh?... I'd probably prefer a few days to get thru that trail!
Steve, Thank you, if you enjoyed the post you would love Talladega National Forest! It is a great place to visit.
Hi Diane! This is not that far from me either and it would make a great outing.....especially while the leaves are turning.
How is your weather this morning? Be safe and have a GREAT day!
Another beautiful set of pictures Diane. I love the shot of the entrance; it looks like the gateway to a secret garden.
Diane -- Oh....I'd love to be there walking on those trails right now.....our trails are full of snow. Thanks for the escape!
Hi Diane, Great pics of the trail and forest. Reminds me of some parts of MIchigan with the beautiful trees and views. Well done !
I've always wanted to do this trail. Thanks for the pics. How far did you go?
