Well I stopped and picked up a pumpkin today to sharpen my carving skills, if you will, for that special pumpkin next weekend. It is just another form of artistic therapy for me and again, as I have done for many years past, I will carve an extra special pumpkin for my wife. I try to keep it a secret from her until its finished and as the years go by it getting tougher and tougher to surprise her. Last year's choice was her favorite of all so far, I did one of Lucille Ball and she was unable to tell who it was until I lit it up..... Here are some pictures below of it before it was lit and then lit..... those are flys on it.
This year I will be carving for her (and me too) a classic Marilyn Monroe standing on the Subway grate and holding her dress down, you know the one..... I'll post it next week. Okay I hope she doesn't get wind of this from anyone that knows her because I know she won't read my posts!
