Breast Cancer Awareness Day

I have seen several of my relatives and close friends survive breast cancer. And I'm sure many of you have several loved ones who have too or may have lost the fight.

As all of us must know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and tomorrow, Monday, October 25 at the Atrium in St. Vincent Hospital, there is a Breast Cancer Awareness event with educational workshops and exhibits. All is FREE and open to the public.

Thank you for bringing the breast cancer awareness to all of our attention. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2001. For many years since then October was an important month to me. This year, I'm happy to say I almost forgot the connection of October and breast cancer awareness. We must not forget it until there is a cure.
