Hello AR Friends,
I did it this week, I hit my goal I set and announced last week here on Active Rain. I hit the 50k points milestone. I had been stagnant for a while when I was close to this goal. I had wanted to hit it, but I wasn't doing anything about it. It's like I stopped so I wouldn't hit it. That dumb self-destructive junk that I sometimes for no good reason do to myself-that's another blog topic. So, finally, I put it public. I was close, there was no reason I couldn't do it. I do think that the encouragement I received here in the Rain helped a lot!!! Things could have easily come up and did this week, but I was determined to be able to write this post today for my friends who commented and encouraged me. So thanks AR Friends!!!
So this week I have set another goal, which can happen. See in the past, I set big goals and then I fail and I feel guilty. So, I am taking baby steps and helping my mindset by being successful. The old me would feel guilty about setting easy goals, but I am not going to. Trust me, it's an internal struggle to not feel guilty.
I need success to build more success and if I have to be patient and take baby steps, well, then that's what I have to do. I have lots going on in my life, just like many of you. So I am taking a new approach and setting myself up to succeed, instead of setting myself up to fail. As I progress, I will increase the difficulty of the goal, but for now, I'm keeping it simple, attainable and I will allow myself to feel good about the success.
So this week in the Rain, I'm going to keep working my way up toward the top of my local rankings. By next Sunday, I will move from my current #6 ranking to #4 in Fresno County. In Fresno, I will make it to #3. This means I will have 51,754 points or more!!! It's not a huge progression in points, if I just participate a little, it will happen.
So watch out Fresno, I'm moving on up!!!
