A holiday tradition in the Nation’s Oldest City

By
Real Estate Agent with Riverside Homes

I can’t believe it has been 17 years since the first Nights of Lights switch was flipped and our town was transformed into an enchanted city of light.  Come out to the Plaza to help celebrate on Saturday, November 20 at 6:30Nights of Lightspm.

Thousands will be downtown at the plaza cheering our Mayor, Joe Boles, while he flips the switch lighting the city tree.  Instantly, over two million white lights fill St. Augustine's every corner with brilliant and magical holiday sparkle. Enjoy light displays at over 100 locations, including buildings, parks, medians and gardens throughout the city. Truly a sight to behold.

Lights will illuminate the Nation’s oldest city for 10 weeks – a must see for all. For more information visit the St. Augustine Chamber site.

Marjorie,

I so enjoy the Nights of Lights each year. Another great reason to live in St. Augustine! I charter the Freedom Schooner as a Customer Appreciation Cruise the night after they flip the lights so we can actually find a parking space in downtown St. Augustine. It is a beautiful sight to see the sunset and then the lights come on.

That is a great idea to see it by boat, we go every year. I love the holiday spirit of Nights of Lights.
