Top 10 most desirable places to live ~ Arizona moves up to 5th
This makes sense. The law of supply and demand demonstrated that sentiment when house prices rocketed up in 2005 and beyond. Although they crashed from unsustainable price points - Arizona hasn't changed any - so not surprising we are high on the list of desirable places to live!
Apparently the housing crisis really has no bearing on a States desirability factor. 3 of the states hit hardest by foreclosures ~ California, Florida & Arizona, are listed as the most desirable places to live according to a recent poll by Harris Interactive.
It's no surprise to me. Despite our housing woes, Arizona still has a lot going for it ~ Sunshine being our crowning jewel...and apparently I'm not the only one who feels this way. And now we have a big bonus....housing is more affordable than ever!
Arizona is gaining in popularity according to the poll. Arizona ranked 5th this year (up from 6th in 2009).
People were asked "where they would most like to live if they couldn't live in their own state" with the following results:
- California
- Hawaii
- Florida
- Colorado
- Arizona
- North Carolina
- Oregon
- Texas
- New York
- Washington
Interesting to note that the Baby Boomer generation (ages 46-64) ranked Arizona highest of all age groups polled.
I guess that's why I'm here.
