Molitor's Traut Haven, Sauk Rapids
"Have you ever sensed a presence where the slightest touch sends shivers down your spine?"
You will at Molitor's Haunted Acres!
Molitor's Truat Haven turns into Molitor's Haunted Acres every year at this time. The experience starts off with the Wagon of Doom hayride. Feel the goosebumps as you enter the dark and musty Mine Shaft, The Corn Trail, The Maze of Misery, a 100- year-old Haunted House (that is said to really be haunted) and The House of Spirits!
I have been on the Wagon of Doom hayride and have to say it is better than the best horror movie. Our whole office went one year, and sitting among a dozen screaming women intensified the experience. Everyone seemed to react to the guy in the hockey mask :0
The best part for me is that Molitor's Haunted Acres does not just have lifeless, spring loaded mannequins, they employ live actors to play the roles of the scary creatures you encounter. They are doing there part to keep our local Saint Cloud & Sauk Rapids 16-22 year olds working!
If we have the time to do any Halloween activities this week, Molitor's Haunted Acres will have to be first on our list, followed by a soothing drink at Molitor's Quarry Grill & Bar. I am anxious to see what new scares they have this year!
The cost for Molitor's Haunted Acres & The House of Spirits is $13 per person, stop by for a scream in the dark: Sundays and Thursdays 7-10 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays 7-11 p.m. Groups of 30 or more will receive a $1 off per admission and tickets are available on location and at Area Coborn's & Cashwise Stores, Atwood Center on the SCSU Campus and at Molitor's Quarry Grill & Bar.
