Trick or Treat Denver Area Halloween Events
Not only is there the traditional house to house trick or treating coming up this Sunday, but there are several additional opportunities to get out and enjoy the holiday, oh and get some more free candy too!
Boo at the Zoo: Saturday & Sunday October 30 & 31, 2010 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Activities are free with zoo admission. The 26th Annual Boo At the Zoo offers more than 25 trick-or-treat stations, creepy crawly animal demonstrations and exciting family-friendly entertainment under the canopy of the beautiful fall foliage at the Denver Zoo. Additional parking will be available at Denver East High School and a free shuttle will be provided by Gray Line bus services. For those who ride light rail to the 30th and Downing Park and Ride, RTD will provide a free shuttle every half hour to the Zoo.
Downtown Aquarium Halloween Kids Fest: Saturday & Sunday October 30 & 31, 2010 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Join Sharkey and his friends for a day of fun and games, crafts and activities. Come and Trick or Treat in the Trick or Treat Reef, or guess the weight of the giant pumpkin. Color a Monster Mural or try out some mad science experiments. There will also be pumpkin patch painting and of course, a costume contest. Kids in costume get 1/2 price admission on 10/30 and 10/31 with a paid adult admission. Trick-or-Treat OFF the Street at The Wildlife Experience: Saturday & Sunday October 30 & 31, 2010 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Every Halloween, The Wildlife Experience offers kids of all ages the opportunity to explore its hallowed halls ad exhibits for plenty of goulish surprises. This event features a variety of activities including creepy crawly crafts, ghost stories and a haunted graveyard. In honor of the greatest Halloween tradition, booths will line the museum's hallways where kids can fill up their bags with Halloween goodies in a safe, fun environment regardless of weather conditions. Kids will join in Halloween festivities by making their own popcorn hands and spider and ghost candy pops. Other activities include a bounce house and the opportunity to learn about favorite Halloween critters in some of the dark corners of Globeology.
Denver Children's Museum Trick or Treat Street: Friday, Saturday and Sunday October 29, 30 & 31, 2010 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. Get your little goblins, superheros and fairies ready for a Halloween extravaganza! Travel through the pumpkin patch and down through Cider Lane onto a trick-or-treating adventure full of yummy treats and fun surprises. Take a ride on Vern's Mini Train, try your luck at the monster carnival, get messy with delicious Dirty Desserts, make funky art projects to take home, meet roaming costumed characters, and much, much more!
