For over 30 years the Deli at Tony's Marketshas been a favorite of many local residents. 1978, Tony Rosacci took over a vacated 7/11 storefront on east Dry Creek Avenue about a half mile east of Colorado Blvd. The entire Rosacci family got involved, sons Mick, Dan and daughter Avie (another son, Tony, opted for the simpler life and became a Realtor in Winter Park, CO) The family built the business form that little store, to 4 thriving markets from downtown Denver to Castle Pines and employs over 300 people.
Years ago I managed a liquor store about 30 miles north of the first Dry Creek location, the barber that owned the shop next to the store I managed used to rave about the quality cuts of meat that Tony's Deli had at the time, he made a monthly trip for many years to get that quality and service that has made Tony's Markets what they have become today. Over the past 24 years I have had the pleasure to get to know the Rosacci family up close and personal, my wife and business partner, Jennifer grew up with the family. We always enjoy going into the stores, it is really amazing how busy they are, I would guess that the Dry Creek store does more business in its relatively small location than the 80,000 square foot grocery store down the street. They must have 40 employees working in the stores at any time of day.
We love to turn people onto the Delis and we always reward our clients at closing with a gift certificate to Tony's. Mick has now become the head Chef and has a regularly televised food program, Danny is the CEO and Avie is the president of the catering division. Tony Rosacci is still very much involved as are several of the family grandchildren. This is truly an American success story. I highly recomend that if you have not been into one of the Tony's Markets that you make it a point, you will not be disappointed. http://www.tonysmarket.com/
