Halloween maybe this weekend, but hopefully you don't scare off buyers with the condition of your home. Here are some tips to prevent a haunted house:
1. Stand at the curb and look at your house. Is it easily visible from the street, no yard work undone, clean siding and windows, inviting front door and good lighting?
2. Front entrance has no spooky cobwebs or dirt, plants are alive and thriving, welcome mat is new and clean.
3. Inside the entrance there is a focal point inviting the buyer in, no shoes or clutter at the entrance. Just a nice bright entry with welcoming clean rooms beyond.
4. No closets with things that fall out when a buyer opens them, everything is neat and in its place.
5. Curtains and blinds are open wide, windows are clean!
6. Counters are clear of clutter, no creepy crawlies and dirt anywhere!
7. Lights are on so buyers see everything!
8. No scary pictures of old relatives cluttering dressers and walls!
9. Light and nuetral colors on the walls!
10. Minimal but warm accessories to enhance your decor!
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
