Little Rock Arkansas has an abundance of homes and neighborhoods for trick-or-treaters to visit on Halloween. As a kid we always had a pregame plan for getting the largest bags of quality candy. Every vampire, ghost, and pirate with us understood which Little Rock homes and neighborhoods were the trick-or-treat jackpots. It was simple, big homes equal big bags of candy. If we did not get a large handful of candy it was normally a smaller quantity, but good quality. That's right, Mars Bars, Snickers, Kit Kat, the works. No candy corn, generic peanut butter candy, or pumpkin shaped candy for us. We went to the expensive Little Rock homes and we expected expensive treats.
Now that those days are past, I am willing to share some key Little Rock neighborhood secrets. These Little Rock areas have nice homes and can normally be ideal for Trick-or-treating.
Chenal- Located in West Little Rock off Cantrell. Chenal was for sure one of our go to spots on Halloween. Chenal has some of the largest homes in Little Rock. A kid can spend a whole evening in there and rack up the candy. We always made it a point to stay in Chenal as long as possible as a kid.
The Heights- Also located off of Cantrell, The Heights has some large older homes and can be a real hot spot for some serious trick-or-treating. Be careful because there are some real busy roads next to and in the Heights. Be sure to have reflectors and watch both ways before crossing the street.
Lakewood- Located in North Little Rock, Lakewood is my third area. It is a big subdivision located off of McCain Blvd. Lakewood is an older area that has large homes and is established. Since we lived in that area as a kid, it was always a good place to finish up the evening.
Hopefully this will give some parents a good idea of which Little Rock homes and neighborhoods to hit when trick-or-treating.
