Welcome New Realtors!

By
Real Estate Agent with COLDWELL BANKER TOMLINSON

We have a new agent in our office.  She's been in our office for almost a month and a half now and I've had the opportunity to watch and listen as she jumps right into the career we call, REALTORS®!

new realtor, realtors, real estate agents

She had a showing this afternoon with potential clients looking to purchase a home.  I am so proud of her!  She has put in the time, energy and enthusiasm getting ready for this showing.  During this past month, she has taken classes on line and asked great questions trying to be ready for this very moment.  She has copies of listings for her client to see and put a packet of information for the clients to review.  She is ready for the adventure!

I remember my first showing.  I had my lockbox key in hand....and it was a little shaky.  The packet of information was in the other hand and an excitement and nervousness rumbled in my stomach as I smiled through it.

I look forward to finding out how the showing went and help answer any questions she might have.  She's on her way!  Welcome NEW REALTORS®!  It's one heck of a career!

What was your first showing like?

Reading that made me smile...As I remembered my first few showings;-) I hope she has a pleasant experience. For me it was definitely a "learning" experience.... It is really nice that you have taken an interest in her, it is always nice in the beginning to feel like you can have someone else with a little more experience to ask questions and maybe vent a little...;-)

Oh boy, my first showing was out in the country..and several of the properties had no signs so hard to find. (instructions were like...go past the picket fence, right at the oak tree..etc.)  They might have had the map features on the MLS, but I didn't use it when pulling up properties (probably in my haste it didn't even cross my mind..and I didn't have my gps then as well. Interesting it was. Laura is right, it is so good that you are helping this new agent with support and possibly moving into a mentor role. Good for you and good for her! All the best!
