Colorado Snowstorm

Greetings from Estes Park!

Yesterday, my son AJ and I were headed back from the 2A marching band finals in Grand Junction straight into a big October snowstorm that closed I70 just before Vail Pass. It was slow going once they opened the highway, but eventually the clouds parted at the Eisenhower Tunnel and we could see blue skies over the new snow.

Happy to be home.October snowstorm in Colorado

Hate to see this reminder that winter is close. Enjoy the fall.

 Chrysanthemums are blooming in Maryland.

Lisa - We are still raking the fallen leaves and it is still warm here so far.  I hope we don't get snow till after Christmas.  I hate driving in the snow.

Please keep it out West, we got hammered here last year with one on top the other.  Best wishes and be safe.

Lisa - It is hard for me to wrap my head around the idea that winter snows are already upon us.  Your second photo is beautiful.  It ought to be on a post card, or hanging on a wall.

Lisa,  I don't always say HI, but I do read your blog and I so LOVE all the pictures you share.  So snow already huh??!!  We've been getting snow in the passes here in WA state, but so far no snow in the lowlands, yet...  They are saying to expect above average rainfall and below average temps this winter, so we will see.  Thanks for another great post and so glad y'all made it home safe and sound!   ...geri
