I'm writing about Modern Home Construction in Sarasota Florida for two reasons:
1. Because Sarasota Florida had some innovative Architects back in the mid-century between 1941 and 1966's who all converged to form the "Sarasota School of Architecture". Architects, like Ralph Twitchell and Paul Rudolph built innovative modern style homes that made wonderful use of space, both vertically and horizontally. These homes were built mostly on Sarasota's Barrier Islands of Siesta Key, Lido Key, Casey Key and Longboat Key.
Sarasota Modern Architecture blends nature with homes and once inside, you feel as if you are one with the outdoors. Many of these homes are still standing today, thankful to the homeowners who purchased them, restored them and kept their integrity alive.
2. The other reason is because I admire the simplicity of this style of architecture that I decided to build one for myself! It has been a wonderful learning process for me and I'm so excited about my new Sarasota Modern Home.
I hope you'll join me in the adventure and read about it at my blog: Building a Modern Home in Sarasota FL
