Who Cares If We Didn't Get to RainCamp Charlotte?

October 28 was the day for RainCamp in Charlotte NC. The crew from Seattle was making another of their presentations to a room jam packed with enthusiastic ActiveRain Members. Maybe even a rowdy crowd.

Well, I wasn't one of them. I had thought about making the run to Charlotte. I have family not very far away in Asheville that I haven't seen in a year, but the timing wasn't right to get away.

So I wasn't there to hear Ben Kinney impart his wisdom on marketing and being effective on the Internet.

I also missed his expertise on social marketing with Facebook, Twitter.

So what if I didn't get the latest tips on making the blog experience more rewarding, or how to get better rankings with long tail tags.

Who needed his tips on getting the search engines to dig deep into our web site content to get higher SEO.

So what if I didn't get to meet and greet with the personalities we see here on ActiveRain. So is it really special if I didn't get to say a personal hello to Debe Maxwell, Lisa Finley, What would be special about meeting Craig Rutman, he probably would have sent a Photoshop version of himself anyway. Sure Larry Story blogged early on about having his ticket for Charlotte, so we know he would be there. And as  happens at any Raincamp, I didn't get to meet new AR's that would become friends as well.

All right, so I didn't get the Hi sign and hand shake with Bob Stewart. I've done it, besides he's an old married man, and the responsibilities of that relationship have probably changed him anyway.

And yes, I didn't get to visit with Kerrie Greenhalgh, again, we'll both get over it,...... maybe    sigh

So RainCamp Charlotte was probably a great event, as they all are. I spent the day chasing clients, doing paperwork, catching up with my selling clients, so I more than kept busy.

So who cares if I didn't get to RainCamp Charlotte?        I do, that's who!!

Michael, some time ago I posted a blog chant for Raincamp maybe you should try the same thing!

Kathy, the next one on the east Coast could well be in Philadelphia. I would come down for that one, even if it is a 4 hour drive.

KC one is just not enough, besides who doesn't want to go to a family reunion

Looks like you didn't have a fantastic time at RainCamp Charlotte. And on top of it, there's all of the new blogging and social media tips you never learned. Oh well, there's always Philadelphia at the end of November.

I was there--my first Rain Camp, but likely not my last--so much valuable content to try an digest--Awesome.

gnawin' on that elephant today.  whew!  Our Market Center has an event scheduled in a week that should act as a nice reinforcement for those of us who went.  Liz Landry is spending a day sharing her Social Media tricks and secrets with us on the 8th--all are invited and cost is only $20, including a little box lunch--Anyone who can find there way to the Pinehurst area (Aberdeen, NC, actually) on November 8th should plan to be there.  I know it will be worth your while.

Michael, Philadelphia Nov 30, will be a city really of Brotherly (and Sisterly) love in the Rain

Ellie, not sure, it certainly would let people know I was there

Eric, I would think the AR Gods would look for something in the Midwest. Detroit, Indianapolis or Chicago should be possibles

Michael, you have this thing about my do. Jealous are you?

John, guilty on all counts

Dondra, RainCamp is awesome, Information overload at it's strongest

Jill, they will have to find a way to get you closer to your giraffe, maybe NYC in early 2011

Cynthia a trail of tears, and just a closing to console me.

Jen, me too

Chris, that would be one possibility then everybody would be recording it and have no reason to go to one because they had it all.

Gary, I have spent many a night in Charlotte, and it is every bit the city she describes, and then some.

Kerrie, you know we won't be together in early Nov. I already explained that to you, Bahamas? Now late Nov, that's a different story! Philadelphia has so many possibilities, would they miss you if I stole you?

Christine, I missed a refresher on points that I didn't catch while I was writing and the family reunion that always breaks out at one of these
