Thanksgiving is just around the corner and that holiday weekend will be the time many people begin to think of shopping for those on their Christmas list. Take a few steps away from buying store bought gifts and consider buying handmade items from local crafters and artisans at Brookhaven's Town Watch Annual Arts and Crafts Fair.
This annual event raises money for the local Town Watch as well as providing a place for local artisans and crafters to sell their fine creations in time for the holiday season. I plan on being there with my woven and hand sewn items.
This fair is always a festive atmosphere and it is fun to see what has been made during the year by local people. Items like wooden toys, jewelry, clothing, art made from recycled items, paintings, and much more. It is a place to meet the creators of their crafts and a place for the creators to hear and see your feedback to their creations. There is always something to find at a fair like this and there are often some really unique creations just worth admiring.
Food and refreshments can be purchased at this event. Parking and admission are free.
So mark your calendar and plan on visiting the Brookhaven Town Watch Arts and Crafts Fair!
