Tree Lighting Ceremony For The Festival of Lights in Rose Tree Park - 2010
Saturday December 4, 2010 5:30 PM - Media, Pennsylvania
The Christmas Season offers opportunities to gather with people who want to embrace the season in joyous ways. Rose Tree Park offers such an opportunity that is outdoors and begins with a Tree Lighting Ceremony at 5:30 PM Saturday December 4th.
The ceremony includes singers singing seasonal songs, the arrival of Santa Claus and the wonderful moment when all the lights are lit displaying the dressed up trees in the mall area of Rose Tree Park.
It you plan to visit this event, dress warmly, so you can spend time outside visiting with Santa and his Reindeer, and walk among the trees that are alive with multicolored lights. There will be displays featuring Snoopy and the Peanuts Gang as well as other festive childhood figures. The lights remain on until 9:30 PM.
The trees are then lit every night until January 2nd between the hours of 5:30-9:30 PM. This is a free event and is such a great way to get outdoors during the holiday season. It can be quite crowded at times but it is well worth being there with other people.
So if you are looking for an outdoor event for the whole family or you want to be around others as you walk outside alone, I highly recommend that you visit Rose Tree Park after dark during the Festival of Lights!
