On Sunday, December 5th, the Minnetonka Historical Society will host its annual Victorian Holiday Open House, at the historic Charles H. Burwell mansion. This event is FREE to the public and reservations are not required.
The Burwell House will be decorated in Victorian holiday style and refreshments will be served. You'll find the Burwell House at 13209 East McGinty Road. The event starts at 1 p.m and runs until 5 p.m.
The Burwell House has been beautifully preserved and still looks much as it did back in 1884. The mansion is on the National Register of Historic Sites and has both the house and its contents have been preserved and maintained by the Minnetonka Historical Society since the 1970s. The house was rescued from fire in 1999 and in 2000, there was an ice cream social and dedication honoring the Minnetonka Fire Department for saving the structure.
