The ongoing SAGA, Halloween and The Great Pumpkin Tradition....ooOOHHH!

Well I stopped and picked up a pumpkin the other day to sharpen my carving skills, for that special pumpkin event this weekend. It is just another form of artistic therapy for me and again, as I have done for many years past, I will carve an extra special pumpkin for my wife. I do think I have been able to keep it a secret from her and will be able to surprise her. Last year's choice was her favorite of all so far, I did one of Lucille Ball and she was unable to tell who it was until I lit it up. Here are some pictures below of what I carved this evening ( while the SF Giants scored 9 runs) after sketching and then poking like a tattoo to transfer the picture, it is done like promised.

Like I said last week I would post it when done…. although I am a bit early so I will have to clear out a space in the fridge out in the garage.

GO GIANTS!

Thank you all for your comments and Brian, a bit of trivia to share; Halloween is second only  to Christmas as the most celebrated holiday in the states!

Marilyn Monroe!  That's fantastic!  I couldn't tell until I saw it lit.  What a sweet gift for your wife!  (I would love to see Lucille Ball.  Did you take photos last year?)
