Gwinnett County HOMEStretch Down Payment Assistance has returned

Gwinnett County announced the return of their Gwinnett County HOMEStretch program.  Borrowers looking to buy their first home (or first home in three years) in Gwinnett County may be eligible for an interest and monthly payment-free second mortgage of $7,500 to apply toward their down payment and closing costs on the purchase of an inhabitable residential property anywhere in Gwinnett County.  Please find out more at the Gwinnett County Page at AtlantaDownPaymentAssistance.com.

Gwinnett County NSP has added an additional option

The Gwinnett County Neighborhood Stabilization Program has been enhanced to include an option for those who want a shorter period of time before funds become forgiven.  Borrowers can obtain $14,500 in down payment assistance to apply toward the down payment, closing costs and other expenses on the purchase of restored, county-owned properties that is forgiven in five years or $22,500 that is forgiven over ten years.
