What separates the good from the great

Services for Real Estate Pros with Sharon Lee's Virtual Assistance

The 212° concept is one of the most powerful communication ideas that I have experienced.  If you're not familiar, here's the idea:

boiling waterAt 211 degrees...water is hot.
At 212 degrees...it boils.
And with boiling water, comes steam.
And steam can power a locomotive.
And, it's that one extra degree that...

Makes all the difference.
So many times, in business and in life, it's that one extra degree of effort that separates the good from the great.
What I love about the 212° idea is that you can use it to fit your own needs.

It may be 212° service that you'd like to reinforce, or 212° attitude, leadership, or quality. Or maybe, you'll choose to build your entire culture around the 212° concept...to differentiate you from your competition.

The real beauty of 212° is the simplicity of the idea. Once explained...everybody gets it. And once you get it...it's hard to forget!

Great post. One of the things I love about Active Rain is all the motivation and information that is to be found here. I have learned more here in the past 2 months than in 8 years from my broker.

Sharon, amazingly 32 degrees with water, the sublimation point is just like 212. That point of transition. Amazing what just going one more degree can do, liquid water to ice. Profound thinking.

Hi Sharon -- I forget where I first heard this (my business coach? a book I read?) but I hadn't thought about it for a while. That extra 1% is huge! We don't want to stop 1% short.
