Art...History...Recreation, that's what comes to mind when I think of Weaverville, a small gem of a town! Did you know that this quaint little town is on the National Register of Historic Places? And it was also recently designated a "Preserve America Community"
If you're new to the area and haven't been to Weaverville, you should consider visiting. With so many things to do in Weaverville, especially during the Holidays, you will not be disappointed. Weaverville hosts an active visual and performing arts community with many galleries, coffeehouses and a new performing arts center (they're big on art). In fact, November would be a great month to visit and if you're from Redding, CA your drive to Weaverville is less than an hour.

All shops in Weaverville will be open until 9pm during those days while you spend time browsing through local galleries filled with handmade items crafted by local and regional artists; including fine art, jewelry, pottery, clothing, wood working, baskets, books, cards and so much more.
ART CRUISE: Many local works of art and hand-crafted gifts will be featured on December 4th from 5:00pm - 8:00pm.
FUND RAISER CONTEST: Featuring the Art of Gingerbread Houses where visitors will vote for their favorite entry. Anyone can participate in this contest, just submit your entry no later than November 21st. (530) 623-5111.
PLAYHOUSE: A Gingerbread-style Playhouse for children (and adults) to enter and participate in writing a book that will be featured the 2011 The Book as Art Show!
