Things to Do in Lone Tree, Colorado: Film Night at the Library
Come to the Lone Tree library for Film Night at the Library. On Friday, November 12th at 5:30pm, join other movie enthusiasts to watch Alfred Hitchcock's masterpiece, "Pyscho".
Adapted from the Robert Bloch novel of the same name, the story is about a young woman who in a desperate moment embezzled from her employer. During her "getaway" she stops at a motel and has a bit of a "run-in" with the proprietor! Mr. Bloch based his 1959 novel on the real life crimes of Wisconsin serial killer Ed Gein.
Janet Leigh portrays Marion Crane, the young woman and Anthony Perkins is Norman Bates, the manager of the Bates Motel. The cast includes Vera Miles as Lila Crane and John Gavin as Sam Loomis. This movie opened to mixed reviews when it was released in 1960, it later received four Academy Award nominations.
Following the film, a discussion of the movie will be led by local teacher and film critic, Walter Chaw.
