Here's the 2nd installment of some of my older flooring posts. Here is a link to the 1st installment of my flooring posts, in case you missed it. For now, these are just chronological...later, I may put them into themes but I have to leave soon for the Westchester Women's Council of Realtors (since I'm a sponsor).
1. Importance of carpet pad. This explains how carpet pad is sometime more important on how long the carpet will last vs. the carpet itself and answers the question of whether you can reuse existing carpet pad.
2. Cork Flooring. This is actually by one of my good friends Mark Woodward who owns Floor Coverings International in NJ. This is jam packed with info about cork - everything you wanted to know and more.
3. Luxury vinyl - what is it and is it an oxymoron? Most people have never heard of nor seen (or realized they've seen) luxury vinyl. It actually looks quite real and fools many experts.
4. Laminate Flooring - When does it make sense? This explains common mistakes in terms that customers use among laminate, vinyl and engineered hardwood and then explains when and where it makes sense to use them.
5. Bamboo Flooring - Is it hard or soft? This was my first featured post (psych!). What was funny about it, that it made the rounds and got reblogged several times. It was the last go around of reblogs where it got featured - maybe one month after it was originally written.
Stay tuned for more, in case you missed any.
