ANOTHER "TRASHY" HALLOWEEN IN THE BOOKS!
I am a creative artsy fartsy type person and apparently I have raised my child to have a creative mind as well. He has, in general, never wanted to be something "typical" for Halloween...you know the kind of thing that you can run down to WalMart and buy a costume for.
One year he wanted to be a crab. Another year he wanted to be an astronaut. This year...well...he wanted to be a trash can! Yes, you read that right! A trash can! I was thinking, where in heaven's name will I find that costume??? I would find it on Google! Yes, it's true! Google isn't just good for getting good rankings for your AR blog, it is also a treasure trove of fabulous Halloween costume ideas including instructions on how to put it all together.
So for $7.97 at WalMart (turns out you can get off the wall costumes at Wally World!) I bought the trashcan and everything else involved came from, well...my trash! We have a community Halloween Fest and our middle school has a Fall Festival at the same time, so my son ended up being a "zombie teen" in the Ghoul School at the Festival and never got to wear his trashy costume! I put a lot of time and effort into the creation of this costume, so I put that sucker on and walked the streets of Canyon Lake in my trashy costume!!!
In short...I was a total hit! Had my pic taken so much I thought the Papparazzi was after me! People were stopping me telling me how cool it looked and how unusual it was. I loved being the center of attention especially since I had not dressed up for Halloween since my teen son was like 2 years old!
Below are the pics...of my son in the costume before we left the house and of me hitting the streets of Canyon Lake in trashy style!!! It was a Spook-Tacular night!
Jordan being trashy!!!
Trashy me and my friend the Fruity Clown!!!
Hope your Halloween was FUN!!!
