A day in the life of a Realtor

For all of you Realtors out there I am getting ready to launch a very exciting 6 month program starting in January designed for agents that would really benefit from coaching but in today's climate simply can't afford coaching. One of my goals has always been to help people but the problem when you run a coaching company is that only certain people can afford coaching. That is just reality and it leaves a huge percentage of people on the outside looking in.

I have been racking my brain for a long time trying to figure out how to get around this and involve everyone and I finally have come up with the answer... and no I am not going to give the answer away just yet. But I will tell you that as a part of creating this 6 month "Jump Start" program I contacted many companies, associations, etc and the response has been incredible! I just got off the phone with the folks at RE/MAX International about promoting and it went very well. Details will follow soon.

In the meantime it got me to thinking about the daily life of a Realtor. Most of us know that we function better when we have a set agenda or goal for the day instead of always being so reactive but few of us have set productive schedules. So here is my question:

As a Realtor what daily routines do you follow that create a good amount of business for you or are most productive?

Let me hear from you!

Okay, this looks interesting.  I'm a stager, so I won't give you my "a day in the life..." but I'll check back on the Realtor thing.  Best of luck to you with RE/MAX!

Thanks Patsy! I did the Coaching Hall of Fame for them earlier in the year so I knew someone there but my meeting went great with them in regards to the new program we are releasing. Have a great day!

Jared, I can't wait to hear more about the program.  I fall into the "know I'd benefit from coaching but can't afford it" category!  =)

My lead generation became much more consistent when I took the advice of my broker and decided to do "business on purpose" instead of "business by accident."  This meant regularly reaching out to my SOI in the manner of phonecalls, handwritten notes, pop-bys, and monthly mailings.  All these things are now in my schedule, with the phonecalls and handwritten notes having a daily, dedicated spot in my schedule.  Pop-bys are weekly (trying to touch my top people once a quarter) and the mailings monthly with extra touches such as holiday contacts, just listed, just solds, etc.

Looking forward to a phenomenal 2011!
